After I was done in the kitchen, I went back to my room. I switched on my phone and sent a text to Florence. Another money package would be sent to her soon. It was the end of the month, and my pay was due. I wasn’t sure Nathan remembered that I expected a portion of my salary to be sent to Florence again, so I needed to remind him.
