Chapter 75. Fiery Passions
Rose’s POV
He started to reach for my gown and raise it, but I stopped him.
“No.” I broke away and pushed him, even though he didn’t budge from the impact of my tiny hands. “Please leave. We can’t do this.”
“Rose, I don’t know how and when I can make this right. But one thing is certain: I can’t live without you.”
“Until you figure out how you’re going to make that possible, stay away from me. I am no longer available to satisfy you when you need it. Go to your wife.”
We stood there, just looking at each other for some seconds. I could see it in his eyes. He meant every word. He did want me.
But it was too late. In fact, it was never going to work. Not with a wife and child. I couldn’t betray my morals that way, and I would never ruin another woman’s home. Growing up, my dad had multiple women, and it ruined my mother. She was so depressed that she died, and he followed suit a few years later. She was never happy, never cared for.
