It was morning. I turned back to see if Nathan was still in bed. And he wasn’t. Of course, he wasn’t. He had probably gone to the site or for a meeting or even left the city for something to come back in the night. There was a small card on the bedside table. I reached out and opened it. I had to rush out for something. I’ll be back later tonight. Ferdinand is around to help you settle down as much as you want. Please call me if you need anything. I love you.
