Anastasia’s POV
The news hit me like a bomb. I felt my heart sink, and goosebumps filled my entire body. I wanted to know more, so I followed William until we got back to the room.
“Oh my goodness, that means I absolutely need to go there,” I said breathlessly, still trying to process what I had just heard.
“No,” William countered immediately, turning to face me. “Don’t go there. I don’t need you talking about your sister and…”
“I’m not going there for my sister, William,” I interrupted firmly, stepping toward him. “I’m going for Ivy. She must be devastated at the news. My goodness, she must be feeling so helpless right now.”
