Chapter 82. Insignia
Rose’s POV
“Insignia?” they asked in unison.
“Yes. I can’t really make out what it was, but it was red and…” I began, trailing off as the memory slipped through my grasp.
“This?” Leslie interrupted, shoving her phone in my face. The picture of the insignia on her phone was very familiar to the one I had managed to see on the man’s shirt.
“Yes. That’s it,” I said quickly, pointing at the screen.
Leslie and Ana exchanged knowing glances with each other.
“What’s wrong? What’s going on?” I asked, eyes darting between the two of them.
“Nothing you should concern yourself with right now, Rose,” Ana replied briskly, her voice composed but clipped. “Best believe I’m on top of the situation, and I’ll make sure everyone who framed you will pay for it. Just trust me.” Ana stood up.
