Chapter 83. Sister’s Help

Anastasia’s POV

“He’s fine. I want to believe you didn’t come all this way just to ask me these questions.”

“No, I didn’t.” I sat up. “Nathan, Rose didn’t do it. Rose didn’t kidnap your child.”

I started to get sweaty. The way Nathan looked at me immediately, the words left my mouth, showed that he was upset.

“Do you have any proof of what you just said?” he asked.

“I don’t… but…”

“Your sister left the mansion with my child, all alone. She lied about taking him to the hospital for a nonexistent checkup, and then he ended up in an accident that threatened his life. She is nowhere to be found afterward, so obviously, she’s gone into hiding. And you sit here to tell me she’s not the one.” His voice was calm but harsh.

“Nathan, please, I need you to listen to me,” I begged.

“I need you to get out of my home. I do not need to talk to you. I have given you the opportunity to come into my home because you’re my cousin’s wife.
