Chapter 94. I Have Friends

Ivy’s POV

“What do you mean your friend is ill? What friend are you referring to?”

“Nathan, don’t do that.”

“Don’t do what?”

“I have friends, okay? I know I spend most of my time indoors, but I do have a few people that I’m close to around.”

“I never said you didn’t. I just don’t know any of the…”

“Her name is Lisa, okay? And she lives around.” I hung the bag around my shoulders. “I’ll be back in a few days. I just need to find out how she’s doing. You don’t need to bother much about me.” I turned and started to walk away, feigning anger at the fact that he had asked about my non-existent friend.

“And what about Kael, Ivy?”

Shit.

I had totally forgotten about him. Shit, shit, shit…

I turned around. “Kael is in safe hands. He’s with you. I'm sure you can take care of him while I’m away.” I turned and kept on walking, not waiting for a single moment longer.
