POV: Harin

When we arrived on Jaewon’s floor, the door was closed but not locked. And when we opened it, I could smile at the childlike Marvel superhero-themed decorations. My Jaewon’s bright eyes widened.

“Thank goodness you arrived!” Taesu appeared. I smiled when I saw him with a Barbie paper hat, but he grabbed three superhero hats and placed them on our heads. “Is it the cake?” he asked my mother-in-law, pointing to the box.

Hye-won handed him the box, nodding. I entered the house with Jaewon by my side. The main light was no longer as white as it had always been; it was red. Jaewon’s hero frames were in the same place, but now there were more frames on the wall. There were other heroes, and it made him look amazed.

SiHo approached, handing a beer to Jaewon, while I got a small box of natural juice with a straw.

“Do you like it? This is my gift to you.”

Jaewon thanked him with a hug. “Now come see this,” SiHo called.

We walked wit
