Chapter 71
POV: Harin
“Where is the address?” Jaewon asked when we were outside the restaurant, while he ordered our Uber.
I dictated it to him, confirming when he showed me the screen of his phone, and once again, I could feel his hand squeezing mine throughout the night.
“You don’t need to be nervous, my love.” I said, comforting him within a warm embrace.
I wish I could say, “I know,” or “Pfft, not at all.” But I was, indeed, very nervous.
When the Uber arrived, Jaewon greeted the driver and opened the door for me to enter first. During the journey, my head rested on his shoulder, and my fingers played with his. My breathing was controlled, although sometimes my heart would race without any warning.
I remembered the last time I was with her, and Taesu was with me. It was one of the visits we always made together; we would let her know we were coming, and still, something always went wrong, and my mother and I ended up arguing.
