Chapter 31
Who would have thought that working in Oracle enterprises was what I needed in my life. The job was everything; it was high paying, the environment was work friendly (even though Penelope got on my nerves a few times), it offered comfort suprisingly (I had thought that my work as a secretary was going to be strenuous), and I got to see Lorenzo every work day. The latter made me tingle. Seeing him everyday just made me realise that my feelings for him was beginning to grow stronger; what I felt was more than friendship.
Squaring my shoulder and inhaling a dose of confidence, I knocked at his office door. I needed to drop some files that he would sign on.
“Come in,” I heard him say and the door clicked open. Someone had opened the door but it wasn’t him, his personal assistant did.
