Chapter 36
Lorenzo's POV
Since my parents got divorced, they've totally avoided each other. If my Mom knew that Dad was going to be in attendance of a party, she would prefer to sit at home if she had nothing big to lose. Dad, on the other hand, wanted them to be cool, free from hatred.
But today, they were forced to be present at the same place because their dear son had to tell them something important. I invited them over to my house. Even with the air conditioner on full blast, I could feel sweat soak through my body, leaving almost visible wet patches on the armpit region of my polo. I had been shaking my legs, to distract myself from the anxiety weighing me.
Dad cleared his throat, "So my boy, what is it you have to tell me?" His voice cut through the stillness. "It must be that serious for you to invite your mother over, too." He looked across the dinning table to stare at her and she looked away.
My lips were pursed, searching for words to communicate.
