Chapter 34

I had been avoiding two people: Lorenzo and Lucien.

After that incident with Mitchell, I started avoiding Lorenzo. I would hasten my footsteps after dropping files at his desk, instead of hanging around and talking, as usual. Ofcourse, he noticed. He had asked me if he had offended me. I didn't even get the chance to answer, and I was thankful for that. Someone had walked in on us and that propelled my exit from his office. I miss him, but I had to stay away from him for my own good.

As for Lucien, after that kiss with Lucien, it made me confused as to what had become of our friendship. Obviously, friends are not supposed to kiss each other but I had kissed my friend now and I didn't know how to handle the situation. My natural reaction to his calls was to decline them and I'd feel my mood drop. I wasn't ready for any serious conversation and I knew him, he is a very passionate and expressive person.
