Chapter 40

I had complained to Lorenzo once more about how the feeling that I was being stalked scared me.

And he had suggested that I should live in his house for this Christmas holiday. If I still felt that way or saw that particular man the few times I would go out, then he would take up the matter to the police.

I was speaking to Amy about it over the phone. She was at one of her friends' house, spending the weekend.

"We all know Mitchell is the one keeping an eye on you though." She sighed on her end.

"It could be Jake too," I finally voiced out my thoughts. I had been thinking about it for a while. Jake and Mitchell were both dangerous people; I couldn't rule either of them out.

"Woah," she exclaimed, "I totally forgot about him. Since he stopped texting you, he died in my mind." That sound of when someone clucks their tongue was what I heard from her end. She continued, "What if it's the both of them?"

My pupils dilated, "please don't scare me."
