Lorenzo's POV
Stacks of documents and files crowded my mahogany desk awaiting my signature while I twirled the pen in my hand, thinking of which to attend to first. Since I had no secretary to assist me, I had to carry out the work of a secretary because I refused to hire another.
An image of Leila standing and stretching, her protruding tummy becoming more visible, flashed through my mind. I wondered what she'd be doing while I'm away. Maybe she'd be reading and giggling over scenes or sleeping, placing her hand over her tummy and muttering sweet names to our baby or maybe she'd invite her friend over the house to keep her company.
I quickly texted her on Whatsapp: how are you doing baby? Have you eaten already? One tick reflected under the message; it delivered but she wasn't online. She was rarely online.
