Chapter 285

Bianca's POV continues

There, clear in their brains and on their lips, with so many questions begging to be answered as they tried to piece everything that went down today. But one thing was clear: time was of the essence. They needed to find Bianca, and fast, before she struck again.

I'm sitting in this cruddy motel room, flipping stations with the remote for the TV. I've been hiding for hours, catching my breath, trying to come up with some kind of plan.

Then I see it. There comes my picture across the screen with some bold heading: "Wanted for Kidnapping and Assault.".

It was like a blow to the solar plexus. The cops really are pulling out all the stops, aren't they? Can't believe they'd stoop this low.

I get out of bed and pace across the room. Man, everything just went sideways. I had hoped maybe to be able to lie low for a few days and see if everything cooled off; now my picture is all over the news, and everyone will be looking for me.
