Chapter 53
Ellen was uneasy when she noticed Chase ignoring her presence. Their conversation last night appeared to have made the man ill. Chase is enraged, but not in the usual way. Previously, Chase would have vented his rage by making Ellen despise the man's attitude. However, Chase was now venting his rage, which made Ellen uneasy and made her want to speak with the man first. Ellen, on the other hand, did not want to be the first to speak.
Why did she have to succumb to Chase? Wasn't it that guy who started from the beginning? Ellen's thoughts were filled with suspicion as a result of Chase's initial attitude. So it was only natural for Ellen to suspect Chase of every good deed. Because the Chase Dominique De Vera that Ellen knew from the start was a Chase who showed no mercy at all. Chase should have used his power to turn Ellen into a puppet that did whatever the man wanted.
