Chapter 79

Chase had no idea why Aidan had appeared unexpectedly. Chase's assistant was waiting for him in the living room, his face agitated. Alexa offered Aidan tea, which he sipped without much enjoyment. Aidan drank the tea to mask the nervousness Chase could see on his face.

"What exactly are you doing here, Aidan? It appears that today is not the day for me to return to work and avoid Ellen."

"Your grandfather knows everything already, sir."

To be honest, Chase was no longer surprised by the information Aidan shared. Thomas appeared to have known about Ellen for a long time but were hesitant to act. If the Thomas and Hannah had come to find out who Chase was hiding from back in the penthouse, this time seemed to be a lot different.

"What happened to the old man?" he inquired.

"I was asked to notify you of your current location. But I am not willing. I requested time for you to visit your grandfather yourself, sir."
