Chapter 40
With his mouth open in a sharp bite, Ziad didn't expect to be attacked from behind. Even more precisely, because of the enormous tail that was hidden underground, and that at that decisive moment gave him a precise blow.
The impact of his falling body knocked down dozens of trees and raised a thick cloud of dust. Which obscured the monster's vision and gave an advantage to Ziad, who attacked without hesitation.
Unfortunately, the creature was stronger than Ziad expected, and combined with the fact that he avoided the area where Eliot and the others were, it made subduing the monster a little more complicated.
Ziad didn't have time to worry about Kayden or Malik, but from the noises he heard he could bet that more of that monster appeared.
Fortunately, he decided to come after the others. Otherwise, he was afraid that Eliot and the others would not be able to deal with that situation, even more so if he added the subjugation of that gigantic monster.
