Chapter 7
The person next to him was breathing rhythmically, appearing to be deeply asleep.
He was the first to wake up before Ziad woke up. Then lying as still as possible, Aart watched him sleep.
He felt na immense desire to trace the lines of the face that slept peacefully. From the eyebrows, the eyes to the nose, and finally the mouth.
Come to think of it, this was the first time Aart realized that Ziad hadn’t taken off his eye patch to sleep. And from what he had realized from the little interaction they had, that must have been a real nuisance. Because from time to time, it was touching it, or trying to adjust it.
Aart felt curious, and wanted to see what was hiding behind that “barrier”. But he was afraid to ask and make Ziad upset. After all, if he was hiding it, it must be for a reason.
As he rambled, strong arms surrounded him and he found himself being pressed against a strong chest.
