Inside a VIP suite, Vaughn brought Chloe to the hospital. He called her best friend, Bridgette, and waited until she showed up.
When the hospital sliding door opened, she wasn’t alone. There were two of them.
Vaughn, who was sitting with crossed legs on a couch, stood at their arrival.
Hawkins was never happy to see him after their last encounter. What’s more, his guts couldn’t trust his intention toward Chloe. So he questioned him, “Why do you keep lurking around Mrs. Schneider?” putting an emphasis on her salutation.
The guy raised his right eyebrow, “Lurking is a strong word, Mr. Hawkins. We coincidentally met in a museum. It must have been destiny that brought us together,” he purposely teased Hawkins.
“Destiny my foot,” Kevin rebutted.
“Babe, stop!” Bridgette came in between and pacified the situation. “I—uh, I appreciate you for calling us. Maybe this time, you can tell us your name.”
