For the next few days, Olivia felt as though Roselle was watching her intently. Today was the last day of the month, and she had to disappear from their lives before the sunrise of the first day of the next month.
She had packed the little bag she brought with her. Every other thing she had acquired while living there, she arranged into the wardrobe. She refused dinner that night, claiming she was starting a new dinner routine. Jessica, knowing how frivolous her aunt was, knew she might have been trying out a new meal plan or diet.
She waited for the house to fall silent and for everyone to fall asleep. She was grateful her bag was not big enough to be mistaken for a travel bag. She could easily convince the security men that it was just a bag and she would be back after getting some fresh air outside.
