Chapter 19
“Put it there,” Xavier said, moving from the doorway and pointing to the table at the corner of the room. The girl dropped it off and glanced at the young lady. She was relieved to see that she was doing quite well. She bowed and left in a hurry.
Xavier entered the walk-in closet and changed into his pajamas before coming back out. Jessica watched him in awe as he went about his nightly routine.
He had not finished consoling her, yet he was comfortably doing something else.
“Xavier,” she called his name quite absentmindedly because she was busy watching him.
He was in front of the mirror. He turned to face her, and she looked him in the eye. She had always noticed his beauty, but this time it stood out. She gulped, the question she wanted to ask him long forgotten.
