Chapter 53. On Top of the Game

It was almost past noon by the time they were on the road. Bella has set the GPS for the local cemetery around St. Milk in Hill Avenue. The cemetery was the oldest in the City and was built some 200 years ago along the popular narrow mountain road. As the clock was about to strike at 12:45 pm, they reached their destination.

Before getting out of the car, Rufus felt he should know a bit more about robotic eggs hidden in the cemetery. “Where exactly should we look? I’m nervous,” he said.

“We are here to exterminate the eggs and its power plant. I say we look for any underground,” she replied, turning off the engine. “Just be careful and watch your step.”

“I have worked as a cop for years, and I know how to handle myself. You don’t need to worry.” Rufus flashed a cute smile.

Bella nodded her head and flashed a smile in admiration of his boldness. She stepped down from the car. “Let’s do this,” she smirked.

She’s focused on the hunt and the extermination.
