He entwined our hands together as we made for the door. I was so nervous, and I really hope he had a very good plan to bring us out of this mess.

The knock resounded once again on the door with full force this time around. I turned to look at Damon in fear, and he rubbed my hands, urging me to take a deep breath.

"Don't worry, take a deep breath. As long as I am here, no harm can befall you. I wouldn't let any nincompoop come close to my woman, I assure you." He said, and I let out a relaxed smile.

Taking a deep breath, we opened the door and stepped out together with our hands still entwined.

"Seize her." One of the guards, whom I presumed to be the chief guard, ordered, and the rest of the guards rushed over to me immediately while I proceeded to hide behind Damon.
