“Someone’s following us…”

“I know. Just don’t turn your head around, Claire. Pretend you don’t see them…”

We entered from alley to alley, trying to get rid of the two suspicious strangers that I think are following us. My instinct tells me that they are after something and I can feel their eyes on both me and Edison after we walk outside the busy main street of the city square.

The loud noise of lively music and the cheering of people are slowly sounding distant as we take the path towards the largest building in this city.

From the sharp perspective of my eyes, I could tell that these men were already expecting us to take this pathway because as soon as we entered a small alley as a shortcut to the main road towards the mansion, they started swarming us around us, making a failed concealment of themselves behind the walls or anything that they think Edison and I won’t notice their presence.
