Chapter 41. Unreciprocated Love
“Why are you doing this, Edison? Why do you have to hurt me?” I asked in a whisper as he stared into my hazel-brown eyes. The pain resided in my heart and in my head as I waited for his answer. When I felt he was going to stand up from the bed, I quickly pulled the collar of his shirt and kissed him deeply on his lips, and he froze.
He reeked of the delicious scent of wine, and tasting his lips again made me feel so intoxicated with the desire to touch him. I expected him to brush me off, but instead, he pulled me towards him in a tight, yearning embrace, and I knew in an instant that he'd been just trying to suppress himself from doing the things he wanted to do to me.
His hands quickly pulled my sleeping gown up to my head and took it off smoothly, trying not to break the kiss as much as possible. He was like a hungry wolf, ready to consume me and give me pleasure all at once.
