Claire's POV

The figure stopped just a few feet away from me, and all I could see were their eyes. This person clearly didn't want me to know who they were, so they kept a safe distance between us so I could only see what they wanted me to see.

My wolf growled at the figure and told me to be careful because danger was just inches away. "Who are you? What do you want?" I tried to hide the nervousness in my voice when I asked them.

They were quiet for a moment and looked at me with cold eyes. "If you go past this point, nothing but bad things will happen to you, my dear. You should turn around and go back home." I knew it was a woman because the voice was soft but firm and girly.

I closed my eyes because I knew they were trying to stop me from doing what I needed to do. "I'm looking for a cure, and I think I'll find it in the forest of darkness. Nothing and no one, not even you, will stop me from getting it." I didn't let her change me or what I was going to do
