Chapter 41. Ecstasy

Two days have passed since Kayden left on patrol. Any news on how things were going where he went was tightly sealed. After what Ace pulled it has gotten hard to trust anyone in this pack.

In these two days, I have gotten quite productive. Once again I joined the warriors and the training has been going fine I got to Meet beta Aiden’s mate. She was lovely to be around and also heavily pregnant. I couldn't help but admire what she shared with her mate I wanted that for myself too.

I am in my usual garden even though it feels tainted after what I last witnessed. It's so quiet and serene. A fresh breeze keeps blowing my way till it blows someone's scent one that is all too familiar.  I instantly stand up and turn around only to come face to chest with Kayden. I roll my eyes at his obvious tall height. He is a mountain.

“ What are doing here?” I ask him.

I am out of breath as my heart beats even faster from being this close to him. I crane my neck
