Chapter 14. What Are We Going to Go?
Celeste’s POV
I had to get out of the house. I felt as though the walls were closing in on me, claustrophobic and terrifying. So many bad events had happened within my home lately, which left the awful memories lingering and created negativity in my safe space.
I looked out the window, rain slammed against the glass and the sky stretched dark as far as I could see. With his, I pulled on my boots and eased my waterproof coat onto my body, fastening it tight.
Leaving the house I pulled my hood up and fixed it securely. I felt incredibly cosy.
I began to walk. Not really having a destination in mind, I let my feet find their way. The sound of rain battering against my hood calmed me, and I managed to think about the recent events without getting too angry or emotional. I almost forgot about the stinging pain in my face from the damage Amara left after the attack.
