Chapter 13. The Intruder
Liam’s POV
Arriving home I knew as soon as I pulled into my driveway something wasn’t right. I could sense disruption around me. My house seemed normal, but I had to take precautions.
Reaching my front door, I noticed it had been opened. By the damage caused on the lock, the door had been forced open.
Shit. My hand instinctively pushed the door open. I saw darkness in the hallway, but a faint light shone from my office at the end of the hall.
‘Be alert friend,’ Fenris hissed inside my mind ‘I’ll be ready to rip someone’s throat out,’
I nodded, the golden wolf hunched low, ready to attack. Fenris’ teeth were sharp, his lips curled as a low growl simmered in his throat. We were both thinking the same name of who had broken in. Julian. But what did he want in my home?
