Chapter 38. Enough Is Enough

Liam’s POV

Pulling out my phone from my pocket, I swiped the screen to open the folder where the photos from Evelyn’s basement had been.

“This is what I found,” I stated as I passed the phone to Julian, my eyes studied his face as I awaited his reaction.

“What the fuck,” Julian said as he looked at the photos “What is this??” He tore his eyes away from the phone to look at me.

“Those are photos from the basement where Celeste was kept,” I replied calmly.

The memory of that foul place played in my mind. I could even recall the smell of the festering bodies “It’s a symbol made in what I presume was blood,” I paused, picturing the sight from memory “It was a crusted dirty red colour.”

Reaching out for my phone, Julian gave it to me and I swiped to the next photo and handed it back to him.

Julian’s face fell pale as he looked at the second photo “Are those…” he struggled to finish the sentence.
