Chapter 59. The Second Chance

Celeste’s POV

I recognised Nathaniel’s car instantly, he pulled up around the corner and I sprinted to where he had parked. I wanted out of this place as soon as I could, the terrors within began to haunt me once more. I had to forget that place, no more hospitals for me as long as I lived would be fantastic!

Arriving at the car, I grabbed the handle of the trunk, opened it and pushed my bag inside. Running around to the passenger seat I got inside the car. I caught my breath as I smiled at my step-brother’s familiar happy face. Feeling like a kid who had just finished school and wanted to escape as fast as I could for the day.

“Nice hospital trip?” Nathaniel asked with a grin, his sparkling sapphire eyes on me. If he wasn’t so cute I would slap him.

“Yeah it was fantastic, A rated service. Too many demon possessions for my liking though,” I said with a sarcastic tone, I pulled my seatbelt over my chest and fastened it “Just drive,” I returned his grin
