Chapter 80. The Missing Piece

Liam’s POV

“Let’s start with Evelyn’s study,” I said as we entered the Stone family house “That’s where Savannah first showed me the ritual book,” I hated being back here, but there was no other choice.

“Sure,” Nathaniel replied “But I want to search somewhere else.”

I shot a look at Nathaniel, he must have sensed my disapproval “We need to stick together.”

“Just trust me,” Nathaniel spoke “I know a place Savannah kept all her secrets as a kid.”

Trust him. Just like I was meant to trust him to keep an eye on Celeste, but I didn’t want to get into an argument right now. I grunted “Okay, just go.”

Nathaniel disappeared into a separate part of the house, while I took myself up the spiral staircase to Evelyn’s study. It was exactly as I had remembered it all that time ago, more dust gathered on the books and surfaces, but it gave the room an authentic feel.
