Chapter 86. Healing Wounds

Liam’s POV

“Celeste?” I called her name weakly. Was that really her? Or was it an angel standing before me? The light illuminated her silhouette and her blonde hair shone platinum as I tried to focus on the features of this beauty. Perhaps death had finally caught up to me and this was the guardian to lead me into the afterlife.

Through my blurred vision I blinked to try and make the vision of the beauty clearer. It had to be her, no one took my breath away like Celeste did, even in this weakened state I found myself in. My eyes began to adjust to the light and I made out Celeste’s beautiful features. My heart ached for her, I wanted nothing more than to kiss her sweet lips and hold her in my arms.

I began to struggle beneath the restraints around my wrists, Celeste shouldn’t be here. She had been lured into Savannah’s trap successfully, and I knew what was in store for my love.
