Chapter 32
Mia POV
The distant, rhythmic voices of the birds chirping woke me up. The golden rays of the sun crept into the room. It was almost noon.
I stirred, my eyes adjusting to the light.
I lifted myself off the bed, yawning and stretching, feeling better than I had in days.
My hands felt the empty space beside me.
It was cold.
I was putting on one of Lukas’ shirts which reached all the way to my knee, while on him, it looked perfectly fitted. But this wasn’t what I wore last night.
Lukas must have changed me into this.
I stepped into the hallway and went to his study, hearing whispers.
I recognized one of the voices as Lukas’. Whatever they were saying, it seemed important.
I pushed the door open to see Michael and Lukas opposite each other, staring at me. They had stopped talking.
My eyes darted between both of them.
“You’re up” Lukas said, hiding a piece of paper in his drawer.
