Mia POV

I stood at the terrace, the wind tousling my hair around my face.

I watched as he moved through the training grounds below.

I tore my eyes away when I heard a soft knock.

Kate was standing by the doorway, a tentative smile on her lips.

“Hey” she said, stepping inside. “What are you looking at so intently?”

She came to stand beside me and looked down.

I could feel her eyes on me.

“What?”

“You look like a high schooler who just had her first kiss”

I chuckled, my eyes not leaving him.

“I love him and he loves me too”

“Up until weeks ago, you believed he didn’t”

“Well, it turned out it was all a misunderstanding”

Kate turned and went to sit.

“This is the most passionate I had ever felt with anyone”
