Chapter 251. Difficult Times for Us All

André’s POV

I stood in the mirror and looked at myself over. I couldn’t believe I was going to face those old bastards again.

I envisioned Fentris’ face and the urge to strangle him flared inside of me.

“I love seeing you in a tie.”

Olivia strode up to me and fiddled with my tie, adjusting it and placing it in the center, even though I knew she didn’t need to.

I smiled and kissed her forehead. My hand ran over her stomach and our baby kicked back in response.

She was all dressed for the meeting as well even though I asked her to take the time off and rest.

I ran my hands through her hair and she leaned into my touch and beamed at me.

“Are you sure that you don’t want to stay and rest? A foot massage will be much better than listening to the council.”

She chuckled and smoothed my shirt.

“I agreed to stay away if there was a war. I want to stay and listen to the meeting. I want to see Fentris as well.”
