Chapter 11
Keenan’s POV
When I found Raya, the sight was nothing short of horrifying. Her once vibrant and lively figure had been reduced to a battered and bloodied mess. The deep crimson stains on her body seemed to seep into every inch of her torn clothing, transforming them into mere tattered remnants.
Her face, once a reflection of beauty and grace, now bore the marks of a brutal assault, with bruises marring her delicate features and obscuring her true identity. Swollen and unrecognizable, her eyes remained tightly shut as if shielding themselves from the pain and chaos that had befallen her.
With trembling hands, I knelt down beside her, desperately hoping for a glimmer of life. The touch of her skin sent a chill down my spine, her icy hands and feet hinting at the life slipping away from her. Her body, already turning a haunting shade of blue, seemed to mimic the stillness of death. Fear and anguish tightened their grip on my heart, urging me to act swiftly.
