“No!” Keenan said firmly. “I am not doing that with you.”
“With me?” Raya asked. “What is wrong in doing it with me?”
“It is not the right thing to do. It does not make sense to repay the evil done with more evil.”
This was not the reason Keenan wanted Raya to abstain from vengeance; it was because he was aware that those who attempted to stand up to the leaders of the Dark Moon pack always met with death; he did not want that for Raya.
“But you still have plans to avenge their deaths, do you not?” Raya asked as if she could see through him.
“Yes, I do,” he said with a resigned smile.
“I’d like to join in. I have also been wronged by a person in power my Spirit cannot rest until justice is served. Besides, my parents would be turning in their graves, unable to rest in eternal peace if I do not avenge their wrongful deaths.”
