Keenan’s POV

The whole palace was in a frenzy and as Lord Christopher had yet to leave the grounds he approached me and said, “The governess is missing?”

“The Alpha has ordered a search for her, she cannot have gone very far. I am sure we will find her,” I said to the man and not wanting to be detained further I made to walk away briskly but his voice was faster than my steps as he said, “when you find her, you are to bring her directly to me. Do you understand?”

“I do.” I lied with a straight face. If Raya was indeed where I suspected she was, there was no way I was going to deliver her to Lord Christopher especially after seeing the vile things he had done to Lord Tibet’s daughter.

“Good and try checking Thallus’s quarters for her, I do not trust me. This search feels like a font to put me off,” the man said.

“I will,” came my reply and he nodded and continued on his way.
