Mirabelle’s POV

Much like my best friend, my strength has been questioned a number of times. My brother’s like to treat me as if I were glass, the most fragile kind of glass and it sickened me. When I was a little girl, I would simply take it as ‘I’m special.’

But no, they thought I was weaker than them and everyone else, that’s why I wasn’t allowed to try for Zeta and when Mom said I could, Adrian kept dragging the date of the competition. I thought he would be impressed with how I did by making it this far but it changed nothing, to him I’m still his little sister who doesn’t grow in his eyes.
