Chapter 33. Unraveling Misunderstandings
Leia – POV
The guards regarded me, adopting defensive postures. "I am here to see Rovina," I stated. One guard exchanged a questioning look with his counterpart.
"Do you have Alpha's approval?" one of them inquired. I scoffed at the suggestion, pushing back my hair to reveal Xavier's mark. The guards immediately straightened up. "I am sorry, Luna. We were unaware that Alpha Xavier had a mate since the Luna ceremony was not officially conducted."
"It's okay. May I enter now?" One of the guards nodded, unsealing and opening the door for me. Upon entering, I found Rovina seated comfortably on the couch.
"Leia! What a surprise," Rovina greeted me warmly, embracing me.
"I came to check on you," I admitted as we stepped away from the hug.
