Chapter 81. Am I Dreaming?

Kael’s POV

A gasp tore through me as I jolted awake, my hands clutching the sheet.

I stared at the window, and the sun was high; the rays flashed into the room.

I averted my gaze immediately to Adrianna, who was staring at me with her mouth hanging open as though she had seen a ghost.

I took a huge gulp before standing. Maybe I was still dreaming. Without caring that I was naked, I stood at the edge of the bed, turning around.

“I’m back, or am I dreaming?” I said aloud with a wide smile.

My eyes shifted to Adrianna, who was sitting smiling at me, tears welling up in her eyes. I cleared my throat as I came to sit beside her.

I pulled her into my embrace. “Why are you crying?”

“I’m glad you have gotten yourself back.” She whispered.

Her hand patted my back. I sighed as I buried my head in the crook of her neck.

Then I pulled away slightly, staring at the beautiful woman in my arms.

Instantly, she flushed red as u
