Chapter 87. Misunderstanding

Kael’s POV

A dry chuckle escaped my lips, “So they have erased all traces,” I said as I turned, making my way out of the woods.

It’s obvious this person is smart, and it definitely is not Theron alone, but for now, I will make use of Theron to find out the real culprit.

Getting to the truck, my step halted when I saw people struggling to get to where I was.

“Bring back our families.”

“Return our neighbors, you evil people,”

I watched someone in the crowd pull a raging woman by the side of her dress and whisper, “That’s the Alpha.”

The woman stared at me for a second in silence, and then the rage returned to her eyes. “And so, what if he’s the Alpha? What good has he done for us since he returned? The pack has enjoyed more peace in his absence than it does now. Who knows, he might be sacrificing us to desperately gain back his humanity.”

There was a strong silence immediately as everyone seemed to be analyzing what she just said.
