Kael’s POV

The warm glow of the sun spilled across my face, coaxing my eyes open.

I blinked hard, trying to adjust to the light. My gaze shifted to the woman in my arms, who seemed to still be deep in sleep.

Her long lashes, soft features, and the slow rhythm of her chest made me smile.

My hand brushed some strands of her hair away from her face. I bent over, placing a warm kiss on her forehead before removing my hands from her waist gently so she wouldn’t jolt awake.

I climbed down the bed, “Get the council hall ready.” I said to Marcus through the mind link.

I walked into the restroom, took a quick bath, and went to the closet. I took a shirt with a tailored leather jacket, bent slightly to pick up dark jeans with boots.

I stood in front of the mirror, putting my dress together, satisfied with my outfit, and I walked out of the room.
