Chapter 98. Crisis
Kael’s POV
I slumped deeper into the chair as I swirled the glass in my hand. “Maybe he is the next target,” I said.
“Or maybe he is working with them,” Marcus blurted.
My eyes narrowed as I stared at him. “What do you mean?” I asked, crossing my legs against each other.
He was my uncle. I did not think he would be involved in such things. Or would he?
Marcus took a breath before staring at me. “I don’t mean to be rude, but your uncle is kind of suspicious,” he uttered.
I tilted my head, the cup raised to my lips as I tasted the harsh alcohol on my tongue.
He continued, “Thinking about it, he has always been with Theron. Shouldn’t he be worried that his friend has gone missing?” Marcus said.
