Kael’s POV
My throat tightened the moment she rose to her feet. I swallowed hard, the words clinging stubbornly to the back of my tongue. Now wasn’t the right time.
I raised my feet onto the mattress and sat with my back resting on the bed frame.
My gaze fixed on the open door, immediately, Marcus’ eyes met mine, with wide eyes, he bowed slightly.
