Chapter 111. The Truth Comes to Light
Edwin’s POV
“Greetings, Elder Edwin,” a guard bowed slightly.
My lips curved softly, and my chin dipped in a quiet nod at the guard. “Beta Marcus said the Alpha wouldn’t be receiving any visitors,” the guard said.
My finger drummed rapidly on the side of my shirt before it curled into a fist. I smiled, but the corners of my eyes remained still.
The guard returned the smile before he walked away. All the smiles on my face crumbled as I bit the corner of my cheek and walked out of the council hall.
Even though my insides burned in anger, I still managed to wear a smile until I entered my car.
“Drive,” I instructed the driver.
A scoff escaped my lips while I stared outside the car. How dare he keep me waiting just to chase me away like I was nothing?
