I rubbed my eyes, stretching the stiffness from my limbs as a sleepy yawn escaped my lips.

A knock echoed again. With a frustrated groan, I fluttered my eyes open, then climbed down from the bed.

I trudged to the door before pushing it open. Bianca smiled as she waved a basket of food. “You were still sleeping?” she asked with a furrowed brow.

I sighed heavily. I was not going to tell her I was drained from playing and having fun with the black wolf.

Come to think of it, I doubted she even knew about the black wolf’s existence. “Hey,” she snapped her fingers in front of me.

“You’re daydreaming again,” she said with a narrowed gaze.

A smile tugged at the corner of my lips, “Come in,” I said as I stepped aside.

“So tell me, how was your day? I’m sorry I haven’t been coming frequently. Things have been crazy lately,” she said with a slumped shoulder and dropped the basket.
