Marcus’s POV
A few weeks passed by in a blur, weeks of agony, pain, frustration, turning an almost stable pack into chaos. And this was one of the worst nightmares I do not desire to be in.
I sighed as I clasped my sweaty palms together before I pushed the council hall door open. All eyes fell on me as I trudged towards my seat.
My eyes shifted to the empty throne. I didn’t get a moment to breathe before they overwhelmed me with questions.
“What happened to bringing the Alpha back? People are asking questions, and Marcus, what have you been hiding?” Elder Rowon was the first to speak.
